Why Aura
Longhena's domed votive church at the mouth of the Grand Canal, built after the plague of 1630. The great rotunda is free; the sacristy, with Titian and Tintoretto, is ticketed. Every 21 November Venetians cross a bridge of boats to give thanks here.
